Sykes Statement on the Passing of Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States

Akron, OH – U.S. Representative Emilia Sykes (OH-13) released the following statement on the passing of Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States:

“President Carter embodied grace, humility, and service to our nation. From his time serving in the Navy, as Governor of Georgia, and President of the United States, to winning the Nobel Prize as a private citizen following his time in the White House, President Carter always strived to help those in need. His legacy will live on through his humanitarian work around the world. I share my deepest condolences with his family and loved ones and I join the scores of people across the globe who mourn the loss of a truly great man.”
